Please

The way Pa pronounces please resembles the distress of a new parent exasperated beyond patience and kindness to the far-flung country of regret. He appends it to the end of every utos (command or request), as though he assumes his children will neither cooperate nor acquiesce without being constantly reminded that he is our father and we are duty-bound to abide by his rules, adhere to his command, and follow. Due to an inherent impatience even I inherited, Pa uses please like a password to children compliant with his will (to dominate all life).
